Welcome. I'm Lily.

Writer, Photographer, Culture-holic

In December 2008, I made a bold move: I ditched my legal career in the US for the road. On a six-month "sabbatical" in the Caribbean, I realized that my passion was to capture and tell stories from around the world. In hindsight, it's no surprise––my life has been one long multicultural journey.

After a couple of years in travel writing and photography, I became a guidebook author with Moon Travel Guides. I now write three titles, on Belize and The Dominican Republic. My articles and images on the Caribbean and Belize are published in print and online publications such as AFAR, CNN Travel, Delta Sky, Sunday Times Travel, The Guardian, Every Day With Rachael Ray, BBC Travel, and more.

A serial expat, I've called eight countries home, and speak four languages fluently––including Amharic, French and Spanish.
