Hello! I’m Lily, an independent travel reporter and consultant focused on equity in tourism and conscious travel. Born in Ethiopia and educated across three continents, I bring a deeply multicultural perspective to my work.
For more than a decade, I’ve reported on the intersection of travel, culture and community—supporting individuals, destinations and media organizations tell meaningful stories that inspire change. My mission is to empower others to approach tourism with thoughtfulness, integrity and purpose. I’ve won multiple awards for my writing, including a Lowell Thomas award for sustainability coverage and NATJA awards in the DEI and travel advice categories.
